Creating Memories

Our boy has been such a joy to watch grow in the Love of God.  And all along, I've been saying, if anyone can soften Grandpa and bring him to Jesus...it will be our boy!  Thank you Lord for the love between these two so that hopefully one day we can all walk along side Grandpa again in Heaven and see him in Awe of you!!!  Your ways are perfect.

THAT first time

We didn't WANT to do it. We've never WANTED to do it. We didn't HAVE to do it. But it's one of those things that we finally GAVE IN to the feeling that we SHOULD do it because everyone says IT HAS TO HAPPEN SOONER OR LATER. Well you know what, it doesn't HAVE to happen and you don't HAVE to do it and you don't need to GIVE IN. We did and I regret it and I don't want to have regrets so I will forgive myself and move on, but I WILL remember to NOT give in again. This is OUR child and NOBODY else has the right to alter my conscience of raising my son.

We let our boy spend the night at his friend's house. Yes we trust the person 100%, but I didn't realize child rearing tactics could make such an influence in less than 24 hours. I was not pleased with my child's response, the other child's response or the parent's response to their time together.  And I spend enough time with all 3 of them to be able to easily identify the differences.

All this to say...NEVER doubt your instincts.

Thank you Lord for your peace and your love in showing me that I AM a good Mom despite what society thinks.
