Our Last Goodbye

Well we got word that our sibling pair is moving on down the road in a couple weeks.  And over the last year, we've prayed and watched how all of this affects our threesome since when we did this before it was a simple twosome...and we've decided we aren't willing to continue fostering.  So we are saying goodbye to a placement and saying goodbye to fostering and adoption.  A few tears have already been shed as it seems like it's one more tough admission just as it has been admitting other times that we wouldn't be able to have kids in what most see as the most natural way.  The hardest part about it all is not having siblings for our sweet boy.  He has been such a good brother and he just loves babies.  We have enjoyed seeing this kind part of his personality and look forward to seeing how God will broaden that opportunity in his life.

We love you Lord and we thank you for the opportunity to love on 12 kids with your love!

Let's try this Baby thing again

Well, we're at it again! 5 kids within 6 months is a handful though I must say. It's been rough and tough, but we haven't had enough so we said YES again. We have a sibling pair, a baby and a Pre-K kiddo. Pray for them with us.

Goodbyes are over-rated

Well, we thought we'd get to enjoy this precious bundle for a good 8 months oe so which seems to be our Foster average, but we don't. He has a sibling who he is being moved to be with. We are only taking kids younger than Landon for safety reasons because unfortunately you never know what you will be exposing your child to when these kiddos come in so we couldn't take the older sibling.

That's a baby!

Well last time we got a baby, my hubby picked up alone and this time I received the baby alone. So we are onto kiddo #10 and just after a couple hours Landon is happy to call him family for however long we get to.

First time for Everything

We had our first super short term placement, we were respite for some foster parents who went on vacation. We had 2 precious girls for 9 days. Landon kept calling them our sisters:) He's definitely ready for siblings. He was sad to see them go, but is doing well.
